LAIA ALEN is a personal project that started in Barcelona (Spain) in 2018. Inspired by a four-generation family legacy in textiles, the brand was born with a deep passion for craftsmanship and a desire to create pieces that stand the test of time.
Our very first designs were the vibrant and iconic bolsitos—small bags that marked the beginning of our identity.
Since then, we have developed signature silhouettes such as the Bernatta Bag, and in 2021, we launched our first knitwear collection.
The story of Laia Alen is deeply connected to a family tradition in textiles. Laia’s father—shaped by the influence of his grandfather—was known for his obsession with quality, a value that continues to define the brand today. When the project began, he was still part of the journey: both an admired businessman and a father with whom creative discussions were often spirited.
After his passing, the brand has carried forward his vision: focusing on quality, keeping the sound of the factory machines alive, and passing on knowledge to new generations.
Laia Alen creates modern, wearable pieces designed to be collected over time. The brand celebrates color, playfulness, and the joy of mixing and matching. Each collection is thought for those who value craftsmanship and uniqueness, combining timeless shapes with a contemporary spirit.
Sustainability is built into the way we work. All production is managed internally in our own factory, giving us full control of the supply chain. We collaborate with local partners who share our values, and since 2022 our manufacturing is powered by solar energy.

Agustí, Ester, Roser, and Maria Àngels are the hands and hearts behind every piece. They transform raw materials with a dedication that has been passed down through generations, honoring techniques that carry both history and meaning. Each step in the process—knitting, overlocking, finishings—is guided by their patience, experience, and a profound respect for the craft.
Their work is not only about creating pieces, but about preserving a way of making that values time, care, and authenticity. Every detail reflects their belief that true quality can only come from the union of tradition, skill, and love for what they do.
Each collection emerges spontaneously from Laia’s own personal universe.
Travels, friends, art and streetstyle are her main sources of inspiration. We think about inspiring women, and we create pieces that, we believe, they would wear.
Hence, everything that surrounds the brand has a very close tone: from the women's names that baptize each of our products, inspired by friends and acquaintances, to the relationship we establish with our community on social networks.
